Project Description
Bucks Security were contacted by Mr and Mrs Martins Da Silver during a home renovation project. They required an update to the security around their property including the intruder alarm system, CCTV and door entry.
With a number of burglaries occurring locally the clients were aware of the benefits home security systems can achieve especially the deterrent of potential intruders.
As with every project a site survey was arranged to meet with the client and discuss their exact requirements. Once this had taken place we issued a full design specification to ensure they were knowledgeable with the equipment to be installed.
It was decided the existing intruder alarm system was to be upgraded to a Texecom premier elite series control panel allowing the use of the smart phone application and the addition of police response. Due to the way the client uses their home our team installed a series of PIR’s, vibration sensors and door contacts utilising existing wiring where possible and wireless technology. This gave the client numerous ways in which they could arm the system. A Bucks Security siren installed on the front and rear of the property acted as an additional deterrent.
The existing CCTV system provided limited coverage around the property and very poor image quality. A superior image was essential to the client, so it was decided a 4K Hikvision system was to be used. The team installed a range of darkfighter turret cameras around the property to give a clear view of the boundary. We also installed a number of AcuSense cameras which enabled us to provide alerts on the clients’ smart devices whilst limiting the number of false alarms received.
The audio entry system was upgraded to a video entry system to ensure the client is able to verify callers before allowing access to the property. This system was to also have a smartphone application to ensure a visitor was never missed again.
Once complete the client was provided with a full demonstration of the systems functionality, smart phone applications installed on their devices and issued with their certificates of conformance.
